We're # 1!!

Okay, so I know that you are all probably bored with hearing about my cheerleaders, but let't face it... Most of the rest of you have children so you have lot's of fun stuff to blog about. The closest thing that I have to children are my 23 teenagers! So with that said I will be a bragging parent for the time being. We had our first competition yesterday and they did so so awesome. They took first. It was the first competition of the year and we still have a long way to go.. they did great, didn't drop any stunts, showed confidence and had energy. It was a blast, it would have been even better had I been able to yell for them when they won.. ( I am sick and have lost my voice- Hannah I sound just like a chain smoker and Mark thinks it's sexy!!:)) I had an individual group stunt that competed- and took second. I am so proud of them also because they basically made the routine up on the spot.. and most of the other girls that competed had been planning and preparing for months! It was AWESOME!.. It was an all out cheer day we had the competition in the morning and then we were in charge of a preference dance for a fundraiser in the evening. It was really pretty fun to go and see all of the high school kids. It was an eventful day, but the best part of the day was definatley when they anounced the second place team and then we had known that we took first! It was GREAT!!

PG was the Cool School of the week! http://www.myfoxutah.com/myfox/MyFox/pages/sidebar_video.jsp?contentId=7799488&version=1&locale=EN-US

Bored @ BYU!!

Well I am just sitting at BYU working on some homework! I am slacking off right now and taking a break! I just thought that I would give you all an update on Becky, I know all of you love her and would like to know how she is doing. Hopefully she does not mind me talking for her and keeping all of you updated! Over the past couple of weeks, since we found of the news, she has had many different doctor appointments. Her MRI came back telling us that she had 3 different lumps/spots of the cancer, all in the same breast. So that meant that she for sure had to have a masectomy on that breast. However she has since then decided to have a double masectomy, she figures she will play it safe and not have to deal with breast cancer again! She will be having this operation done tomorrow. However I do have a correction from my last blog! She did find out from the plastic surgeon that she will not be able to get the tummy tuck with the new boob job! The doctor said that she would have to gain about 30 more pounds to get that done! So she won't be puttin on 30 pounds anytime soon! For those of you wondering she is doing so so so well.. She has the best attitude and positive outlook. She knows that it is all in the Lord's hands. She is so Awesome and doing well! I will keep all you updated on how the surgery goes! I just want her to know how much I love her and will be praying for her! She is the bomb!! I'll give her the "Whoo Whoo"!!!

It's Been A Little Rough Around These Parts!

The last couple of weeks and especially this past week has not been the greatest in our world! For those of you who do not already know my sister Becky was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. This came as quit the shock due to her young age, she is not even 30 years old yet. We do not know all of the details yet, we are still waiting for many of the test results to come back. However the things that we do know are.. They are going to do surgery, as to whether they are going to remove the boobs or just the cancer lump, we are still unsure. She will for sure have to go through chemotherapy, and yes she will loose 100% of the hair on top of her head and probably even her eyelashes and eyebrows. Her husband told her that they would have to get her a whole new hat collection and she is hoping that the doctor will remove the man-eating mole on her head! We are still waiting for the results to see if it is genetic or not, our Grandma Duffin has had problems with this, so there is a good chance it could be genetic. If it is genetic it will mean that Jensyn (her daughter) and I will need to be watched very closely. Jensyn will never be able to take oral birth control pill and for me it means that I should probably get off the pill! The reason for this is because the estrogen in the birth control makes the cancer grow alot faster. For Becky it also means that they will have to also take out her ovaries and take off the boobs. However the good news to Becky is that if they take off the boobs, she is going to get "reconsturctive surgery" and with this "reconstructive suurgery" they take fat from other places of the body, and then have to fix the place they take the fat from. Basically all I am trying to say is that she will get a boob job and a tummy tuck all in one, which sounds pretty cool!! I hope none of you think that I am being insensitive about this. For those of you that know our family, know that we joke around alot and this is kind of the way we are dealing with this. It has been really rough on all of us, however there has been so much support. We have the best extended family in the whole world! My Aunt Cheri and Aunt Weezy wanted to do something for my sister. My sister has painted almost her whole house since she has moved in, except for her own bedroom. My Aunt's wanted to do something for her and they knew how much she wanted her bedroom painted, so.. they painted her bedroom over the course of a couple of days. They figured she will be in bed more than usual in the next few months and they wanted her to be able to look at her walls and know that she is loved! They are awesome! Becky has also said how great and supportive her husband has been. I am so thankful for Jon and his love for her because I know it comforts her so much! Becky has an awesome attitude about all of this and I am not so sure that any of us could get through this without her positive attitude. She is the best sister in the whole world and I want her to know how much I have looked up to her my entire life. Even though she did rat me out a few times when I wasn't doing what I was suppose to! She has been an example to me! I pretty much copied her life, except for the geeky parts! This Picture is a perfect example of my coolness and her geekiness!! She is the Best and I LOVE HER!! I will pray for you Beck your the BEST!!! So pathetically I do not have any picutres of Becky and I when we are older, well I have some some at my house, but I am at my parents and these are the pics I have come up with at my parents I love them!!

Another Boring Update!!

Hello all! If there are any of you out there that even still read this! I figured I should update it at least once every few months!! JK... So I figured out what makes it so dang hard for me to update this. I have not really done anything too exciting where I have taken pics... It is a lot easier for me to post when I have fun pictures to show! I thought I would let all of you know how my job is going.. It is going so much better.. Yes better!! I will be honest this is one of the hardest jobs I have ever had, and yet it is one of the most rewarding. I love the girls so dang much. They are so cute and so dang fun (most of the time!!- they still are high school girls!!) We have went through a few rough patches, it is always hard to adjust to a new coach! I am hoping that we are through those rough patches and there won't be anymore. We are almost done with football season only a few games left. We are starting to work on competititon and I think that is going to be a blast.. Competition is awesome. Moving on to other things I am doing... School is GREAT.. I never knew that I actually liked school. I am learning so much and it is actually the stuff that I am interested in. I know that with my degree there is not much to do with it, but I really enjoy it, so I am happy about that! Mark is doing well and looking forward to graduating this December if he can just get this Docterine and Covenants online class done!! He has a little over a month to complete it and lets just say that he has not done much with it!! I know he will get it all done, its just a little nerve racking! We are doing great! We are busy busy, but Life is still GOOD!! Here is a pic of the girls that I spend alot of my time with, aren't the so dang cute!! Can you pick me and my assistant out of them?? It is really funny when I go and park in the faculty parking at the high school the parking police guy always tells me to leave, cause he thinks I'm a student!!

THE UPDATE

Finally!! Wow so as you probably all can tell I have been so so so so BUSY!! I have to say that I am sorry to all of you that read my blog.. if there are any people who do!! hahah.. I am turning into my sister and I haven't posted anything for over a month! Krishelle I hope this makes you HAPPY!! My schedule for the past month has consisted of waking up at 5:20 a. m. going to cheer practice from 6:30a. m. to 9:00 a. m. then going to my other job from 9:00 to 5:00 or 6:00 depending on what time I was able to get everything done! It was CRAZY! The girls are now back in school so summer practices are over, which is really nice!! I have been sleeping in until 7:00!! Its been GREAT!! Today was my last day at the accounting firm and Wednesday I start school! I'm really excited and I hope I can do well and keep a balanced life! Mark was feeling a little ignored by the end of all this craziness! I felt really bad. So hopefully I can keep everyone happy while going to school and doing the cheer job! Here is a run through of this past month. I went to cheer camp for a week in July. Then came back and went to Ephraim for a little while for the 24th! The Firework show at the farm was amazing and we had dinner up the mountain a couple of times, which was great. It's always fun to go down south!! I then had boot camp with the cheerleaders, where they learned their homecoming routing for halftime and then we had a sleepover! In between all of this Mark and I ran to Ephraim a few more times to scout for deer! That is where Mark has been these last couple of weekends.. It's bow hunting season! It's been an exciting and busy past month... Sorry there are no pictures, all the exciting things I did and no pics, boring huh!! I'm finally am feeling like I'm not a Chicken with my head cut off!! Its a nice feeling! I am sad to see summer end, but am happy to go back to school and hopefully feel a little more put together! Hopefully I don't go this long again without posting! Love you all!! Thanks for reading! I'll try to be better and take pics!

GO FIGHT WIN!

So this is pretty big news for Mark and me! (And NO we are not having a baby!) I am finally ready to admit on the World Wide Web to all my family and friends that I am officially going back to school. I will be a Wolverine at UVU! Because of this change, I have been looking around for a part time job that I can do while continuing my education! While looking on the Alpine School District webpage for a teaching aide position, something caught or should I say GRABBED my eye! I applied for the position not thinking too much about it, thinking that I possibly might not even get an interview, but going for it anyway! I turned in my application on Friday, received a call on Tuesday asking me to come in for an interview on Thursday. I went into the interview feeling really nervous and barely qualified! I came out of the hour long interview completely opposite of what I went in feeling! I was feeling like the position was almost in the palm of my hand, but I did not want to be disappointed if I walked away empty handed, so I tried to justify and say there are plenty of qualified others that probably applied! They told me that I would be receiving a phone call by tomorrow (Friday) letting me know if I was chosen or not for the position. I was a little nervous after the interview, mostly worrying and hoping that I did not say anything stupid! But I must have been pretty darn impressive!! Haha jk.. About two hours after I had left the interview I received a phone call telling me that they would love having me fulfill the position! I was in shock and really really excited! I told them that I would love to say yes, but If I could just sleep on it and make sure that it was the right thing for me to do. It is now Thursday night and I am Happy to say that I am officially-unofficially the new Cheerleading advisor at Pleasant Grove High School!! GOOOOOO VIKINGS!!! I went, I fought, I WON! haha! I have decided that I am going to call them and accept! It is all happening so fast! They have cheer practice that begins July 2nd, but they said that I could decide if we are going to really start then or not! I am really excited to get started and meet all of the girls! I am also really excited for Cheer Camp! It is going to be so much fun! I will be going to the USA (United Spirit Association) cheer camp up in Logan from July 14th to July 17th! The downside of this all is that I have to tell my boss tomorrow that I am going to go back to school, that I have found another part time job and then ask if I can still work their (around the cheer schedule) until I start school, so we can continue to save money for the fall semester!! It is going to be a blast and I cannot wait to start this new adventure! If any of you have any good suggestions about how I can go about telling my boss about all of this I would really appreciate it!! Thanks for reading my exciting exciting news! I love you all!

Telly & Clay

On Wednesday this past week I had the opportunity to go and see my best friend/cousin be married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. It is always such a blessing to be able to go and witness a marriage. The couple is always so happy and then you get to hear the covenants you have made with your husband. Its always a joy to go and feel the spirit in the temple! So On Wednesday Chantel and Clay were married. They were married at 2:20 and so the temple was not as busy as it normally would have been, had it been on a weekend or in the early morning!.. Clay went to Japan on his mission and brought home a kimono..(not sure if that is how its spelled!) He bought it for his wife to wear on their wedding day!.. little did he know that it would actually be for a little Japanese girl!!.. She looked so cute in it!! So funny because I am pretty sure that Clay is more Japanese than she is and he is pure Caucasian!! hahaha.. and that is the most Asian looking I have ever seen her! She looked dazzling in her wedding dress also, she is so tiny! She was so cute and I am so thankful that I could be part of their special day! I love her and I look forward to having Clay as part as our family! :)

Thoughtful and loving. Authority figures probably have been sheltering you all of your life. Thankfully you're a very tranquil person who is content with what life has given you, but secretly you want to know how the outside world works.

Playing Catch-Up!

There is so much that I have missed that I have wanted to share with you all! There is never enough time in the day!.. I have to stay up late hours to stay on top of my blog! There are a few fun things that have happened in the past couple of weeks!.. First off on the 24th of May we had a family shower for Chantel!.. It was lots of fun! I love getting together with all the Butterfield side! Especially when there are no boys involved that way there are no cooties!! Then we celebrated my mothers 52nd birthday! All of my siblings went over to my moms and had cake and ice cream. I had to get a pick with my mom so here it is.. I LOVE her to death! She is always there for me whenever I need her, I know she will be there. She is silly and I love hanging out with her. She is my Best Friend! I recently had on of my friends tell me that I was just like her. It scared me to death! As you can tell I am much more normal looking then she is haha.. jk..The next exciting part of my last few weeks of life was that Mark and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary. We really did not really do anything too exciting.. Our anniversary was on June 1.. It was a Sunday.. So we just went to my parents for dinner as usual! We are boring, we did not even do presents, I know so awful of us!! But it was nice to be able to spend time with family on our special day! I thought I would share some pictures of us on our Honeymoon for this special occasion!

The third thing is that Roni (my friend) had a Friend shower for Chantel. It was a blast! We played a game, opened some gifts and had some dang good food!! It was really great to be able to visit and catch up with old friends that I just don't get to see near enough!!

This is the fun of my past few weeks Don't you wish you could have been able to be a part of all of this excitement!.. Sorry that it has to hit you in one vomit of a paragraph!.. I am going to try and work on posting more frequently! I thought I would post one every Sunday.. but that obviously has not happened!! I will work on it! :) Oh also I don't know if any of you have noticed but I now have music on my page! (Mostly I did this so that I wouldnt have any of you thinking that I was a stalker for being on your page all day long! Cause I was listening to your music at work!) Hope you all enjoy it! I sure do!

HAPPY 94th BIRTHDAY GRANDMA !!

Mark and I traveled down to Good ole' Sanpete Valley, for this years Memorial Day festivities and for Grandma O's Birthday!! She is now 94 years old!.. She is still full of it!!.. She has a Memorial Day party and Christmas party every year and then a Thanksgiving party every other year. For these party's she cooks for close to 90 people!...She is so much fun to sit and talk with! She has some really fun stories and knows a lot!... She is still fully with it!.. She drives everywhere. She bought herself a brand new Toyota Avalon a couple years ago, its all leather with a sunroof its NICE!!.. She even drives herself down to St. George for the winter, so she can stay in her condo in the warm weather!.. She also has to go to St. George for the winter so she can keep golfing.. YES, she still golfs!.. Only a few short years ago.. (I think she was 89)... she got a Hole in One!! She is an amazing lady and I love her dearly! I am pretty sure Mark almost gave her a heart attack this afternoon!.. He saw a plate of Jalepenos on the table ... SIDE NOTE: Let me add that Grandma had put a sign on the plate of jalepeno's that said "HOT Jalepeno's".. so she was already worried about someone eating one and not knowing they were HOT!! So with that said... Mark looks right at Grandma and says "Oh these look like such delicious pickles.".. Grandma Starts waving her arms at Mark and almost jumping up in the air... OH NO MARK, OH NO MARK.. THOSE ARE HOT..THOSE AREN'T PICKLES OH MARK NO.. Mark then busts up and says oh really!!!.. She later told us that she thought that they were Sliced Cucumbers when she bought them and when she ate one she couldn't breathe for the next half an hour!.. It was really funny!.. Grandma is so Great and we love her so much! We are glad she is still here so that we can talk with her and make good memories!.. Ever since my Grandpa B. died I have been trying to be better with taking pics and not acting like people are going to be around forever on this earth!!.. So her is a pic of Grandma O and Mark and I!! She's the sweetest!:) WE LOVE HER!

A Family of 66!!

So.. Our lives are not too exciting right now.. so... Since most of you have cool things to write about because you have all of those cute kidlets.. I will reflect on some of the good times I have had and tell you all about when Mark and I were Parents to 64 kidlet college students!.. It all started in the month of February 2006. Mark and I were pretty sure that we were going to get hitched!.. We saw a flyer up at the activities center at Snow College. We both had to fill out a applications, where we had to answer questions such as: If 2 roomates were having a fight what would you do??... and If someone came to you and told you their roomate was gay what would you do?? How this didn't scare us off right at first, I don't know! We still wanted the position! I'm Pretty sure we were in it all at first for the "FREE" rent ! It seemed to be too good to pass up.. Little did we know it was not really free rent! We went through a application/interview process where we had to dance in front of others and talk in front of everyone!!.. not sure how I got through that, but I somehow did! We got the job!! We were so excited.... Little did we know how much work it was going to be! We had to do kick outs, make sure that there were not members of the opposite sex in each others rooms after a certain time and a lot of other various things!.. It was a really great year! We were the Resident Assistants for a whole school year!.. We grew close to many of the Resident! It was a blast! I sometimes miss having a whole 30 girls upstairs (the other 30 or so were boys!) to talk to when I get bored! I am really glad that we had the opportunity to meet so many great people and make so many friends.. I miss them all!!.. I especially miss Mark and I's first home at Nuttall Hall!!! Just so none of you worry.. Mark and I had an apartment off to the back of the building we didnt actually live in a dorm! Well we did, but it had an attatched apartment! And for those of you who think we are crazy for doing it.. We would do it all again!!! Oh yeh and some residents really did call us Mom and Dad! It was a blast!

It's Been a While!

So if any of you look at my blog on a regular basis, like I look at yours you are probably wondering why I have not posted anything since I started this blog thing!... Well unfortunately there's not a great reason behind this... My Grandpa B. passed away.. It was a complete SHOCK! He died peacefully in his sleep at his home. Which is just how he wanted to go, so I am happy for that! It has been an emotional roller coaster, thats for sure! I thought that he was Invincible! I think my whole family did! He was such a Great man! His Funeral and Viewing were amazing! There were so many people! I always new that he was liked, but it was so cool to see it! People waited in line at the viewing for almost 3 hours. People started coming in at 5:25 and it was not suppose to start until 6 o' clock. It was suppose to end at 8 o' clock, but the last people went through the line at 11 o' clock, it was amazing to see all of those who loved him. I am so greatful for life after death, and for eternal families. I know I will see my Grandpa B. again. I know he is where he is suppose to be, but it is still hard and he will be missed very much!

I LOVE YA GRANDPA!

Mr & Mrs's

Since i posted a Picute of our first date I thought I would let you all know how we came to be Mr & Mrs's Olson.. for those of you who dont really know the story!!! It started off with Mark being very persistant!!.. He asked me out 3 different times, I said no all three times, then finally on the 4th try.. i decided to say yes!! We basically went on like 5 different dates the first time that we went out!!.. We went to a Snow College football game. W ehere we could not stop talking.. Im am not sure who even won the game!!.. Then we went skeet shooting at his cousins farm with a big group of people, we shot at pumpkins too (it was like 2 days before Halloween)... We then ate at Brother and Sister Franks home.. they were a missionary couple for the institue.. Next we went and got ready and went
to the dance.. Mark really impresses me with all of his moves!! haha.. We then went and watched a movie at some house up the canyon road... We watched Tales of the Crypt and fell asleep in a one person recliner chair... Thats it .. Thats how we FELL in LOVE!!!
