Hunting Season and Other Good Stuff!!...

It's that time again.. update time! It's been a Great month and a half! We have done a lot and have had some great things happen to us! I have to say we are so blessed. At the beginning of October, October 5th to be exact, ATK let 550 people go. Mark fortunately did not loose his job. We were so nervous by the time this rolled around, but we made it through and are really happy he is still employed.

At the beginning of October we were also able to go and enjoy conference with my side of the family, it's always a good time to listen to the prophet and his counsel!

There was a lot of mountain time the past couple of months! Mark helped our sister-in-law Alisa get her elk. He was even so kind to help her get it off the mountain, which was quite the challenge!

Alisa, Mark, Brandon & Alex with Alisa's elk

After many weekends of scouting, helping others hunt and then hunting himself, Mark was successful and got his deer! He is a dedicated hunter, so he is able to hunt the archery, muzzleloader, and then finally he got his deer on the rifle. He has also been successful in his other hunting outings - duck hunting.. but unfortunately he doesn't have any pics with the ducks he got,

oh just kidding just found this one on his phone.

Mark and his horns!

I was able to go down to Ephraim and hang out with my sister-in-law Aubrey and watch her cute little boy Tate, while Mark was on the mountain! Love doing that when I am down in Ephraim!

We decided to head down to provo for the homecoming BYU vs. TCU game. We sat on the 5th row which was really fun...

Unfortunately they got their butts kicked, but it was still fun to go and spend time with my hubby! We got to go and get a J Dawg which is pretty much the best hot dog in the whole dang world! It made the trip all worth it :)

Here we are at the game, super photogenic right?!? Oh and yes we did have
BYU rain ponchos on.. so AWESOME!

Our Halloween was pretty boring, I do have to admit. We had plans to hang out with our good friends Marc and Allison, but unfortunately Mark and I both came down with something and ended up laying around being miserable and had to cancel our plans. We did not even have one trick-or-treater come to our house, I was pretty sad about that, but it was probably for the best, we could of passed our bug to them!! :)

As for me I have been busy with school and work. It is going well and the semester is almost over. I registered last night for my final semester. I am going to have a kick butt semester. I get to take 3 electives and 2 required classes. I am taking sewing, sign language, tumbling, (yes I am probably going to pee my pants, and then be really sore for the first month, cause I am so out of shape) living with wildlife (where I will get to earn my hunters safety so I will be able to hunt in the near future!) and then a psychology apprenticeship class. I am pretty excited. I cannot wait for this semester to be over I will be done December 11th, and then I will not have to go back until January 11th! It is a much needed break and I am so excited to get to that point! Until next time.. Stay Classy San Diego?

Where does the time go??

Well what can I say.. I am a major procrastinator as I have said in past blogs and I also started school and a new job, so that really does not help the situation. So once again I apologize in advance for the long post, but I guess that is just the way I do it and at least I am better then my sister cause its been a year since she last posted.. Becky that is me calling you and and my lame attempt to get to you update your blog!! The past month and a half has been really fun. To sum up most of this post (just in case you are not inclined to read on!) we have spent a lot of time with family and friends and have loved every minute of it!

Here is where the month of August starts.. with the back of my head!! haha just kidding, but kinda really!

It starts with me finally deciding to do it.. chopping off my lucious locks for love!! I decided that when Mark got home from his trip (as I will discuss in more detail below!) I wanted to surprise him.. and I was also super sick of the homely hair do - as you can see from the pic above! It was a girl in my sisters ward who cut it and she let Becky make the first cuts, while it was in the ponytail. I am donating it to locks of love, so it was kind of cool to have my bald sister cutting it off! This is the new hair cut. I like it in a lot but, I also miss being able to throw it in a pony tail and have it out of my face! But with 2.5 hours and a big pile of hair later, this is what you get!!

Like I said there had been a lot of family and friends time. I am too big of a baby to be home by myself, so while Mark went on his trip I went and stayed with family! In the week I was home while Mark was gone.. I had a friend sleepover with Chantel, Roni and Stefanie. We were able to catch up and laugh. I love sleepovers, so this was a big highlight for me! However, every night was a sleepover night because Becky's husband was also out of town and because she is too big of a baby too we both slept at our parents house. I got to sleep with the kidlets every night. By the end of the week I had gone out so much Jensyn told me I needed to be home early so that we could go to sleep together!

I was also able to catch up with some of my old high school cheer friends that I had not seen forever. Shellene, Marina, and Sam, it was a blast talking about old times!

Moving on to Mark's highlight of the month of August... His dad and his brothers went on a week long fishing trip to Canada. They left Saturday morning and got back Friday/Saturday night/morning! Half of the brothers drove and the other half flew. They did this so that they could drive all the fish back. Mark was one of the "lucky" ones that drove! It was around a 24 hour drive each way. They had to catch a farry and going and coming home. On the way home they were not able to get the truck on the farry, so the ones driving had to stay behind so the ones flying could catch their flight. I told Mark to be sure to take a lot of pictures and he took a few, but this is the only one that he took of himself.. I am not sure he really gets the concept of picture taking!! (But here he is in Canada!!)

Luckily he has brothers that took some pictures with him in them! Here is what they caught in just one of the days they were there! Mark caught the biggest Salmon out of everyone (but in the picture that is not the one) and Parry- Marks dad, caught the biggest Halibut. We do have a freezer full of fish, so if anyone wants to come and visit us, we can have a feast! They had a ton of fun and would go back anytime if they could! Mark did get sea sick, but that only put him out about an hour of the whole trip!

The girls on Marks side decided that we needed to do something fun while the boys were gone so we went to Park City for a day! We shopped all day long, then went to the alpine slide, however none of us were able to ride the slide because of rain. My sister in law Kim and I decided that we were going to do the big tramp with all of the kids. This is everyone watching us and the kids on the tramp!

Yes I was just like a little kid flipping all around. At first I was like this is really fun, then I was like ooo this is kinda high and its kinda making me nauses, then I was like wow I am super out of shape and this is making me really tired!! I did a double back flip a couple of times. I screamed, bloody murder the first time I did the double back flip because I saw the tramp coming closer and closer as a roatated around!.. it was really loud and everyone laughed, it was a little embarrasing, but that is the kid in me! After I got off the ride all my nieces and nephews gave me a high five.. they thought it was pretty cool that I could do backflips! We ended the night with dinner at delicous Cafe Rio.. just what I like! It was a fun day in Park City!

We woke up early the next morning and went to Marks cousin Ashleys wedding in the Salt Lake temple and we we went to the wedding luncheon. I love the opportunities I have to get to spend time with Marks family and bond and have fun with them! It's amazing how you really do become like a sister with the inlaw side!

I have been or had been craving my moms yummy homemade rolls, so I decided to be a little Betty Crocker and try them out for the first time. I have to say I was impressed with myself, they actually raised, did what they were supposed to do and tasted delcious, we ate them for breakfast lunch and dinner for a few days!

We have only been home one weekend in the past month and a half. It is Hunting season! Last weekend one of Marks hunts ended, but we still went down because our 2 sister in laws have/had big bull elk tags. I say have/had because Lorna shot her big 6 X 6, but Alisa is still searching and has until Thurday to find her perfect guy!! But we went up and helped Alisa and Brandon. We sat on a ridge for a good part of the day looking and listening for elk and radioing to them when we heard and saw anything. We had lots of fun being goofy together and it was fun for us to just sit and relax in the sun. It was the first time I have heard an elk bugle in real life-the other times it has been my Justin my brother, driving me crazy "practicing" with his call. It was so awesome to hear it. It just might have turned me into a hunter.. then again maybe not!! :)

This was the sunset by the end of the day! it was so pretty the picture doesn't do it justice! It was so nice to go up the mountain, admire all the beautiful things that God has created for us and have a relaxing day with the husband!

We have had a great couple of months. I hope I can stay more updated on this blog thing, but I never make any promises! It is too hard with school and all to be on top of it! School is going well so far I am enjoying learing, but am also stressed out with tests and assignments. Marks work is going good. However, ATK is laying off another portion of its employees so we are playing the waiting game, which is not a lot of fun. We enjoy living out of the city, but do not enjoy being away from family, so we hope that we can keep this job, but if we don't we will move where we are supposed to be! Hope all of you are doing well and hope I didn't bore you with the long update!! :)

Woot WOOT!!

There are a lot of exciting events that have happened over the last part of July. I wanna start off by saying that I finally made it through summer semester and worked full time the entire time- Woot WOOT! I actually just finished my last test about 10 minutes ago, so now that finals week is over I can blog again!! Only two semesters left I can do it! Moving on with the events of July.. I fulfilled one of my life long goals.. I saw Gorgeous George and I loved every minute of it! It was just as a I dreamed it would be.. While I was a little nervous because I heard he was not the best entertainer, I figured out for myself that, that statement is wrong! He did just stand up on the stage and sing.. no fancy lights or displays, just him and his guitar.. but he has pure talent, there are not many entertainers these days that sound exaclty like they do on the radio.. He sounds the exact same! Mark and I would definately pay to see him again and again! It was AWESOME!

George Talking about Utah!

Mark and I Aren't we Cute!!

Over the 24th weekend, we made a speratic decison to run down to Ephraim. I am glad we did! Mark wanted to go scouting of course! We had a lot of fun.. It was a weekend of fun, food, fireworks, fishing, and family. I wish I would have taken more pics, but I just don't think about it! Here is Mark holding a fish that I caught, but I was too scared to hold it that close to my body!

The last exciting event that has happend this month, is that we have an orange.. almost red tomato! Mark has picked off two, that would have been red by now, one which he thought had a worm and it didn't, the other he was just playing too much with the plant.. I told him he cold no longer touch my plants!!

But look how cute this little orange tomato is, I am way to excited about this!

July was an exciting month, I'm sad to see it go, but we did have lots of fun with all of the holidays, seeing family and the concert!

Fun Fourth!

So I know I am pretty late for the fun Fourth of July events that took place, but I am still going to post... Unfortunately I wish I could say I took some pics, but I am always just a little too lazy.. I wanted to pull out the camera a few times, but just didn't. Our festivities start on the 3rd. We woke up bright and early (like 5:00 am) and headed down to Riverton to spend the 3rd with my family! The Riverton parade is on the 3rd, it's always lots of fun as a 23 year old to go with family and try and take all the candy before the little kids can get to it (and yes I am the foolish old person that runs out in the street for the candy)!.. After the parade we go back to my parents for a yummy BBQ with lots of delicious salads, where homemade rootbeer and icecream are always a special treat! We decided to stay the night at my parents and the next morning we headed down to Ephraim to spend the 4th with Marks family. It's always so fun. We go up to a special spot on the mountain and have a steak fry for the 4th and for Aubrey's birthday. I love it it's so pretty. We usually try to end the night with fireworks with the family... This year the boys decided they didn't want to go to fireworks, so Aubrey and I went like little children with just Mark's parents! It was a blast! We first tried to go to Moroni's fireworks, but there was an awful storm so they didn't end up doing them.. We were in luck though, we made it in time for Manti's show! All in all it was a GREAT 4th weekend! I love driving south and visiting with family!

Weekend Fun!

We had a very fun weekend. We had some visitors, Justin, Chantel, and Clay. We ended up going to dinner on Saturday night at Firehouse Pizza in Logan. While we were there the waitress spilled 2, yes 2 glasses of water on the table, and yes some of the water landed perfectly to make me look like a pee'd a little! I was laughing so hard and everyone said I was rude for laughing because the waitress was so embarrassed, but I could not control myself, it was too funny. After looking like I peed my pants a little bit, we headed off to the Logan Demolition Derby. It was a blast, so much fun, we yelled loud and cheered. There were a lot of cool cars that just would not stop it was awesome! Here are some pics.

We look a little drunk.. but I promise were not!Justin was sweating profusely in the sun! Here are the good old cars.. It was so cool!
This weekend we also went and checked out the Golden Spike place, pretty cool to see replica's of the trains.
Here are the boys at the Golden Spike plaque!
Mark and I, in a nerdy pose, of course!
Me in front of the cool train replica's!
We are so happy that our friends came up to see us anyone is welcome anytime! Please come again!

Always Late, but Worth the Wait... What a Wonderful June!

First off.. I am going to start this post like most of my other posts!.. With a apology for always giving so many posts all at once, but I really can't help it.. I admit it.. I am a procrastinator.. but hey at least I always post what I want to right?!?! Plus I do have a pretty good excuse.. I am pretty dang busy. I work 40 hour weeks, have to be to work at 6 am which means I have to wake up at 5 am. I then don't get home until 5 (yes I work 4-10's). Then by this time I have to make dinner (although Mark has been really good at helping/doing it all, with this part!), I then do homework/study for my 3 classes and try to keep a somewhat clean house! It's a hectic summer, but it will soon be over! Anywho I will get on with the rest of what I really wanna share!!...

Mark worked 4-10's this week because it was ATK's Lagoon day on Friday, and his boss gave everyone the option to work 4-10's and take Friday off if they wanted to, but they didn't have to go to Lagoon... So we decided to go camping instead! We wanted to invite people, but it was too late of notice, by the time we decided to go! So for the future, if any of you want to go camping please let us know cause we are pretty much professional campers now! We bought all the gear yesterday and also decided that it would be a lot more fun with some other people than just ourselves! Anways.. We decided to head up Blacksmith Canyon (right above Hyrum).. For those of you that know Mark you know he doesn't like to be around a ton of people, I'm sure this probably has something to do with growing up in a small town!!.. Anyways, so he doesn't like the little tiny campsite's where everyone is on top of each other.. he would rather be on the top of the mountain in the snow! So, that's where we headed.. we had no clue where to go and by the time we finally found our perfect spot we had been driving a good 2 hours, but we did find the perfect spot! We ended up at Logan's Peak.. it would have been way faster to go up Logan canyon, oh well it was a fun adventure! I am happy that I had that fun experience with Mark! We did get a little bored and by around 5 pm we were checking our phones every half hour to see if we could go to bed. Mark liked seeing how long he could keep the fire going and how high he could get the flames, he also tried to burn huge logs and break them apart! Here are some fun pics from the evening..

Chilling by the fire.. oh yeah, I'm looking hot in my camo!

Our entertainment for the night.. Introducing.. The Fire!!

Mark in the hail storm.. the whole storm only lasted about 25 minutes, then it was beautiful again!

The most exciting news of all.. We finally are Homeowners.. Well Sorta!!

King of the Mountain!

And Finally.. the biggest Lady Bug I have ever seen.. I was scared- but that is a whole different story.. if you wanna know ask!!

Hey look mom and dad.. no hands, I'm doing it by myself...

This is the Dx, and it has a Lone Ranger tomato!! I hope it grows more than one!!
YEH right, to the no hands thing! I have called my dad like 10 times to ask him, what kind of potting soil, how much to water, if I should cut of the dead leaf's and anything else I needed to ask about!

My dad loves to garden so I think he was pretty impressed when I told him that I wanted to try and grow some tomatoes! I went back and forth with the idea for a couple weeks, but I finally decided to do it because my work gave me 2 free plants! I hopefully soon will have Roma's and Dx's coming out of my ears!! I have I now have a total of 4 tomatoes they are so cute, I am so excited for them to turn red so I can eat them.. mmmm..!!

This plant is the Roma and if you look closely you can see 3 tomatoes!

Oh, my work also gave me free flowers -I had to take them, they were FREE and I do love them!:)

I'll let you know if I kill them off or not by the end of summer because, right now they are not looking so hot!

We did have a very nice anniversary..

And yes this is the best pic we came up with for our 3 Year Anniversary pic!!
(I know we're Goobers!)

We didn't plan on doing anything all too exciting, but as the night rolled on, it just kept getting better! We started things off right, both of us took the day off work. We went to dinner at Hamilton's-a really nice steakhouse in Logan, of course! Then somehow ended up at at a furniture store and YES...Drum roll! .... made a purchase!! Happy 3 Years to me! (Mark got a crappy decoration for his work office and clothes!!)

Out with the Old.....
We will miss you, lovely 70's couches.. moment of silence please!

In with the New!!!
It's hard to see but they really are brown..

This is the love seat, but it does show the color a little more!! (We really are not that messy, we just were packing to head south, and I took these pics to show my mom!)

These pic's are for Ashlie.. she told me to post these almost a month ago!! We finally broke down and got rid of the 70's couches!.. as much as we loved those old couches we really needed to upgrade. We finally had to draw the line and get rid of them.. they were really wobbly- too many legs were missing! The new couches are a really dark brown, almost black, leather, and they recline, we love them!

I just thought I would hurry and post this (even though I posted this on my link list, I am sure none of you would see it!) because I know there are some of you out there that love being as frugal as I do!! enjoy! http://iloveagooddeal.blogspot.com

BUSY Busy busy!

I am playing catch up on this past month! A lot has happened and we have had a lot of fun! The last half of May has been crazy crazy, and I hope that we make it through the rest of the summer! I finally got a job, which is GREAT, but I am attempting to work 40 hours a week. I am normally used to working 40 + hours a week, so that's not a problem. It has just made my life a little crazy because I am also trying to take 9 online credits this summer - don't worry it's not through BYU, it's through Utah State! So far all is going well, but I will tell you what I think by the end of the summer! I am on the landscape crew at Utah State! So basically for work I play in the dirt, get a tan and get paid this summer! I love it, my boss is awesome and she has been teaching me and the other 2 people I work with all about plants and trees, so when we have our own houses we will know what to do! My first couple of days at work I had a few troubles.. I ripped my pants! Once in the crotch and once on the upper thigh! My third day of work I decided to just wear the pants I had already ripped and I broke the curse! My pants just had duct tape on them! I was Hott! School is going great, I enjoy my classes and I have already taken 2 tests and I will take a 3rd this next week. Mark and I have been enjoying the sun on the weekends and have been going fishing. We drove up to Idaho a couple of weekends ago to fish and while on the road to find the lake we saw this awesome fence that had a old boot on every post. It went on for a couple of miles, it was cool!

This pic isn't very good but if you look close you can see a couple of boots!

This pic is of one boot, cause I know you all are so interested!

Mark having fun re-doing his line after it got snagged!

We also had a very eventful Memorial Day weekend! My Dad, Mom and Justin came up and stayed with us on Saturday. We celebrated my mom's 53rd Birthday with some rootbeer floats and brownies mmm..

Happy Birthday Mamma, We Love You!

On Sunday we headed to Idaho for the day to celebrate my cousin's daughters graduation! It was a lot of fun. When we got home we immediatley headed out for a one day trip to Ephraim. We went down to celebrate Grandma O's 95th birthday.

Grandma O was also in charge of a Parry family reunion, so we got to go and enjoy people's company we didn't know! It has all in all been a great last half of May. I may not update for a couple of months, but at least you will all know why now - getting homework turned in on time is a little more important than blogging! Oh also we are really excited and incase I don't get to post again for a while... It's Mark and I's 3rd anniversary tomorrow yahoo:) We don't know what we are doing, but we both took work off and are excited to be together!

I passed:) I was really nervous about the final, and after I took the final I was hoping I just didn't blow $500 Bucks! But I did it and I recieved a B in the class... Have you been squished lately??.. Cause I sure have!!!

Okay so i quickly had to get on and brag.. haha.. Well I do not know if it is something to brag about, but I just wanted to let everyone know that I am a very big girl and I got my very first mammogram today.. and yes I know I am young, but remember my sister has cancer!!.. I wanted to let you all know that it was probably the best doctor visit I have ever had. You may be wondering what, how could that be!!, but rest assured it is not near as bad as people say it is.. yes it is a little uncomfortable and a little tight, but nothing more than a little squish! Actually the worst part of the whole thing is that they put a little bit of tape on your boob and taking off a really sticky tape is never fun!! I say it was the best visit because they put me in a waiting room (after I took my top clothes off and had the hospital gown on) that had graham crackers and juice and water and mints.. I only had the mint, but it was still really cool!! The women that did my mammogram was awesome, she was super friendly and made me feel really really comfortable, even though I had my boob in the squishin machine it was okay!. She talked to me the whole time. So please remind all your mothers, older sister siblings and yourself to go and get a squeeze, because it doesn't even hurt.. (well except for the tape), and it could save their life!:)

My BooBoo's!!

So this is a really fast post and I know.. I am good two post's in one day!! hahaha!! Okay, but this is really funny, and it's a classic me! I decided that I should clean out the truck.. it was so gross Mark was starting to write things on the dash- things that he couldn't remember, so he would remember them! Anywho.. It was nasty! I am vaccuming it out and I can fit standing if I just bend my neck. So I am getting out and I full on fall all the way to the ground on my butt! I hurried and looked up hoping that no one saw, because I was in my apartment parking lot. Luckily it was only me that was laughing and crying at the same time! I got up wiped myself off and smiled! Okay this doesn't even look bad, but I had bruises all over my legs. This is just a scrape that was on my knee! The second pic is where I fell on the vaccum! It really did hurt but was really hilarious! oh and please don't mind the mayonaise legs! The BooBoo's look alot better than they did they are healing!

Hanging on for 1 more Ride!!

Okay.. so before I even start this I have to say.. it was funny and sad all at the same time... So a couple of Friday's ago Mark and I were asked my our good neighborfriend Nikki to come and participate with the Stake Roadshow... Which we were happy to help.. This is just a side note to the story-we were just suppose to sit up on the stage and be people in a crowd-nobody really came, that is why she specifically asked us (another side note!) Mark ended up having to say lines the night of because Nikki's husband was having gallbladder problems and was on the verge of passing out! Mark had to say in a really hick voice: Shot me a 4-point buck last year - and you know that he did not mind talking about deer!.. anyways back to the real story.. So as we are on the way we are driving following a van with a family in it... Mark doesn't think he is tailing the people, but as we pull into town the people pull over, as to let us pass. As we pass the van the Man and Women are waving there arms telling us to stop. We are like okay what is going on.. Mark of course does not stop, because we are already to far past them by the time we realize they are telling us to stop. We pull into the church parking lot, all the while the van is following us as we pull into our parking spot the people stop. I am thinking oh great what did Mark do these people are going to yell at us in the church parking lot, and Marks going to yell back.. I was nervous! However they don't yell they say.. There is something dangling from underneath your car and we think its a CAT!!! I was like NNNNOOOOO!! (and I don't even like cat's!) I was like in a stern voice.. Mark did you hit a Cat.. He was like no no no I didn't. We figured out that it must have been up in the engine to get warm and it wasn't able to get out fast enough and got caught on the engine. The worst part is that we think we drug it around for a while.. Mark drives 60 miles round trip a day and he thought he had saw something under their on Wedensday- which he thought was just a tumble weed.. and this whole van people thing happened on Friday. So we go in and do the roadshow and we are not sure what we are going to do. The Elders quorm president in our ward was also in the roadshow.. We told him about the Cat and he was lauging and wanted to come and check it out.. so he did he was crawling on the ground looking all at it, his wife was video taping it! Wow it was great! As for the cat it went for one last ride.. We drove home with it still there (cruel? maybe, but we didn't have anything to get it off with and Mark was not touching it bare handed!) It had been on so many journey's and then finally it fell off while pulling into our apartment (there are big pot holes and it just couldn't hang on!) We finally put it in its final resting place! The worst part of it all is that I had seen it around and it was a stray (We live by alot of fields and the neighbors said we get alot of them in the spring).. But I had seen it and heard it meowing before and I like kitty's so I would talk to it and be like oh your so cute! I was going to feed it but I never got the chance! Oh it was a sad and funny day.. at least it got one more ride Right?!?!?!:)

Educational Moments, Man Wallets, Bacon, BIG Wins, and a Wicked April!!!

Okay so everyone already knows that I stink at updating the blog.. but I do have some reasoning I have not had the internet, except for when I go to my parents.. but good news everyone, we finally have advanced in this world and we did get the internet FINALLY!:) I did have good intentions and I think you will be able to tell, because I took lots of pics of different things I wanted to post! So here is goes.. Happy novel reading to all of you that are about to read this!!

The first part of March I was still driving back and forth, holding cheer practices and hanging out with my mom and sister alot! I was at my new home mostly on the weekends, and maybe a little during the week.. I would not suggest living away from your spouse for a long period of time, it was not alot of fun!.. But on one of the weekends we went exploring and we went to the Bear River Bird Refuge. It was educational and fun! Especially while Mark and I were trying to make the best bird noises we could, to try and attract the birds! There were alot of pretty swans and other birds. Mark really liked looking at all the birds. We being the smart people that we are forgot our binacs when we set out for this journey! It was still fun.. They have a building where you can go in and read all about the birds.. Here is how i measure up to a eagle i think.. or some other kind of bird, I don't remember!

This is how Mark measures up he wouldn't get on his knees!
This next pic is really funny because we are driving along and all of the sudden there is this enourmous crane right up next to the road .. I totally thought it was a decoy or something cause it would not move until the very last second then all of the sudden it moved. It scared me a little I will be honest!
We also went out to the Hardware Ranch and that was pretty cool! It is located up the canyon from Hyrum, which is about 10 miles south of Logan. For those of you who do not know what that is.. it is a wildlife managment area. We saw alot of Elk and there were some pretty good ones. They take you out on a sleigh, pulled by those Clydesdale horses and they pull you like inches away from the elk and the elk just sit there and let you look at them.. it was really cool. Mark said there were some pretty big ones, so I thought it was exciting to see.

We were trying to get out and explore are new area! I think that we have pretty much covered most of the area! jk I am sure there will be many more drives. Oh we have also been on many aimless drives, and on this particular drive we were driving North, hoping we would eventually hit Idaho. Well to say the least we never made it and we almost ran out of gas.. Well Mark and I both did not have our wallets, but fortuantally Mark had alot of change in the truck. I had to pay for the gas in all change.. Like pennies and all it was really embarrising.. and it was like $8.00 or something all in change.. it was great!

Also during this time period, my brother Josh lost his job. He was working at Sportsmans Warehouse at the coorperate office, but due to their recent bankrupty, he was let go.. He held many positions there and actually started as a salesman at the Midvale store. He worked his way up and worked in marketing and his ending position was in purchasing. He is currently looking for a job and if any of you know of anything let me know! He graduated from the U in Communications and he also is fluent in Spanish! He is super nice and is an awesome person and excellent worker!:) Oh also I am currently looking for a job up in this area so if you know anyone up here let me know about that too hahah!!

The next thing that happened in March was my birthday! and let me tell you it was so much fun! Mark did a really good job!.. He bought me some big sunglasses-which I really wanted some, a shirt for when it is cold outside, he then took me to dinner at Wingers-which is my favorite and then took me to a bed and breakfast and even took the day off- or at least half the day! It was so much fun, and plus bed and breakfast's are my favorite thing because the breakfast is the best breakfast in the whole entire world.. and I do not even like breakfast food. I really like bed and breakfast and if you are ever in need of one the one we went to was considerably cheap and it was really nice, it was called Providence Inn, the people were also really really nice. It is like 5 miles south of Logan. Here is a pic of us relaxing in the room it was GREAT!! Mark loves making old man faces in pictures!March ended with a BIG bang! I traveled to California with my cheerleaders, we had alot of fun, we went to Universal, Disneyland, and had a few group dinners and between it all, we took 1st place, so they are 2 time National Champions. It was AWESOME, as soon as they announced the 2nd place team the other coaches and I started yelling and jumping up and down. Some of my girls fell to the floor they were in SHOCK! We were not expecting it at all. We even had one of the judges of the competition tell us that our skill level just was not there.. So in your face I guess it was there! If you wanna see the routine that they performed go to this link http://www.varsity.com/event.aspx?event=1142 and then search Pleasant Grove. The drill team will also come up so make sure you look at my girls! They were also featured on the news but I couldn't find it! Here is a pic of Kirsten (my assistant) and Me at Universal on the studio tour it was a blast! It was so fun to get to know Kirsten better and realize that we were alot alike. I will miss working with her, she is so much fun. We went on the Pirates of Carribean ride at Disney and we were so funny before we got on the boat we noticed that there was a big old pile of water in the boat on our seat so we sat in, I kid you not like a cubic centimeter, the both of us. I am pretty sure that people prob thought we were lesbos! hahah... Well and that could have been because of my man wallet also.. but that is whole other story.. that I should tell you, and I will but later.. When we got off the ride Kirst had a perfect circle of wetness on her butt it was so funny. We laughed hard for a long while. About this man wallet... Have you ever traveled without your husband, or your dad.. cause I haven't and where do you put your money, if your paranoia like me! So I asked my dad and he gave me a wallet to use it was a MAN WALLET hahahahah.. it was so funny. Anytime I bought something I was like oh yeah my man wallet is in my pocket let me pull it out.. it was great!

Oh also at one of our group dinners we went to the Hard Rock Cafe where we saw the coolest performance because it was by Kevin Bacon.. yes the Kevin Bacon and yes he did sing.. who knew that Kevin Bacon was a singer. All of my girls were going crazy.. they were down on the floor dancing and asking to ring his tamborine! One of them got to! He is a pretty good looking older guy if I do say so myself! He even sang in his song.. about the crazy cheerleaders from Utah! It was awesome! Oh how I do love Footloose! So after all the hustle and bustle was over from Nationals. Life was back to normal.. I am done with cheer, or well.. I will be tonight, I have my last official cheer thing to do.. I have the year end banquet. I have not been doing the classes though. I have been done with practice and classes since Nationals. I have been with my Hubby and it has been really really GREAT!

We headed down to Ephraim for Conference weekend and it was really nice, even though I will admit that I did not listen all that much to Conference, I had not been to Ephraim since the New Year, so there was alot of catch up and talking. But it was nice to feel of the Conference spirit and I will need to re-read the talks in the Ensign! Easter weekend was also a blast! We went down to my parents and hung out. On Friday we died Easter Eggs at Roni and Brians house, which was super fun! My eggs were the best of course.. My mom had a Saturday morning feast and then on Saturday night we went to a surprise birthday party for our good friend Hannah, and went on a blindate with Justin and Kyle and Ashlie! We hit a bucket of balls and let's just say I am pretty much a professional golfer now.. Not really I am poopy at it! My mom had a delicious Sunday meal and then the kids had a Easter Egg hunt. It was fun to watch them run around the yard and find the eggs and give the eggs to each other. How I do love the grandkids and miss them so much, now that I don't get to see them every weekend!

The last couple of things I have done that I would like to share with all of you happened last weekend. I found a new love.. and that is making jewlery (thanks Ash!) I do have to give a shout out and thanks to Ashlie she helped me get my girls a year end banquet present and we made my girls all these really really cute necklaces (that i love) with stars and some blue beads and I am giving them a quote that says " Most men will look up and just admire the stars, but a champion will climb a mountain and grab one" Author Unknown. When you wear this necklace, remember you are part of a team that worked hard, gave alot, climbed high, and won Big! So like I said I found this new love of making jewlery! I have been to Hobby Lobby, Joannes, and Micheals, like 5 times since this weekend, to find new beads and more necklaces. It is alot of fun and they turn out really really cute! Again Thanks Ash your the BEST!! My other new love happened with my Mother in law.. She took me to see WICKED and it was AWESOME!! I have been singing the songs, well at least the 2 songs I have on CD.. Speaking of which Hannah I need the whole CD! haha just a friendly reminder! I have Popular and Defying Gravity and let me tell you I think my lungs have grown a whole 10 sizes from singing so loudly in my car by myself! hahaha. But thanks to my Mother in law Judith and the fun Saturday she gave me! We went to the Lion House for Lunch and then to Wicked and it was AWESOME!!-like I said before and I recommend that everyone see's it!

It has been an AWESOME couple of months.. and I hope that the coming months are just as much fun! Mark is loving his job and is liking living in the country again, as am I.. The only thing that could make it better is if we had all of you up here with us. I miss living close to family, but I am very grateful that Mark has a job! Thanks for reading! Oh I almost forgot that I finally found out what degree I will be recieving from Utah State. After transferring to Utah State I found out that pretty much the Psychology programs at UVU and USU are nothing alike and I thought the earliest i would be able to Graduate was going to be after Fall 2010-because they have very different opinoins about what needs to be taken to obtain a degree, but my lovely husband found this great degree.. it is called an interdisiplinary degree. Basically it is combinding 2 different degrees and having a minor in both. I will be doing it in Family Consumer Science Human development and Psychology. This way i will be done at the end of Spring 2010. This cut off 2 semesters. I would have had to take 2 extra semesters to get a degree from USU nutz huh! Well I love you all!! Hope you can see straight after reading this.. if you even made it to the END!!!

MUSIC!!
