Hardware Ranch

A few weekends ago we were able to go on a fun one day road trip back to our old stomping grounds in Northern Utah with my brother Justin and his cute girlfriend Bree. We left in the morning and drove to Brigham City, stopped in at Maddox’s of course for lunch, because we cannot go to Northern Utah without stopping for a steak! Then we kept on to the elk ranch, which is by Hyrum, Utah and is super cool to see if you have never been I highly suggest it. They take you on like a 25 minute sleigh ride, right through wild elk. Kinda strange they do not run away, but they say that they are used to it and they feed them, so that is probably why they do not care. Anyways then we continued on and went to the cheese factory and loaded up on the delicious stuff… then traveled on to the old Sinclair gas station that we lived by to get a Dr. Pepper…mmm, then to Smith and Edwards Superstore… and boy was it super! I did not take many pictures but here are a few from the fun day...

Wings Anyone???

He is still happy as a clam.. it hasn't started yet!

I first have to say just how much I love my Husband! He does so many things that put a SMILE on my face. The latest… He mentioned around the first of January that he had filled out an application to be in a wing eating contest, I did not really think he was serious. I should have known he was Serious. It was sponsored by Sports Radio 1280, Wingers, and Morris Murdock Travel. The prize: A 7 night cruise in the Mexican Rivera, I was more than happy to support/make him go through this process. J All he had to do was eat as many wings possible in 12 minutes and 80 seconds or the more common 13 minutes and 20 seconds!

And the race is on...

Round One: Mark has to go to the Wingers in West Valley and be there at 4:15, ready to eat. Mark does AWESOME he comes in second place, eating 45 wings. He is up against some pretty intimidating competitors, past players that had gone far and eaten over 80 wings previously!

The 2nd race is on...

Round Two (Finals): Night before Mark decides to prepare by eating boiled cabbage (training from Youtube) and eating many items with Fiber. Mark does not feel so hot and thinks that it might have been a bad idea to prepare this way. He goes to Valley Fair Mall at 4:15 and is once again ready to eat! He increases his wing load by 5 and eats 50 wings total… WOW! Unfortunately there were many tough competitors and it was not enough to win the trip, but he did not come in last and did not throw up! I am proud of him and LOVE him for trying new things and not being scared.

Not feeling so HOTT!

I'm a Proud Wife!
