YES..FINALLY I DID IT, and yes it is long, but worth the READ!!

I am finally doing it.. updating the BLOG!! I am sure that if any of you check my blog on a regular basis, you get sick of seeing the same old boring story! Mark sure does get bored of the same one! A lot has happened since I last updated... Of course Christmas happened and I was so excited for it because I knew I was getting a new camera and that I would be able to take pictures again, so I would have more on my post's than just boring old stories! Our Christmas was really fun, we spent a lot of time with both families.Oh and by the way ladies, this is my single brother Justin and he is fun and has some money!! He is however about 5 ft 4in and that is on his good days, so you have to be on the shorter side! Christmas parties are so much fun! I love the games! It was also a really good time because my cousin/bestfriend Chantel was up from Arizona so I was able to hang out with her for a while! And we did have a sleep over and slept in just our G's, you wonder if you will still have sleepovers when your married and guess what you still can and they are still just as fun!!

This is a new fettish I have it is painting my fingernails black or a really deep red maroon color.. I know I know so emo or whatever you call it, but I love it and I can't stop!

2008 was a fun and hard year with many trials that our family had to face, I'm grateful that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with such a GREAT family, without them I don't know how I would make it through. We always have a lot of fun and I know how much we all care for each other. The beginning of 2009 started out GREAT! We hung out with Bryce and Aubrey (Mark's sister and bro in law!) to celebrate the new year.. and for any of you who know my husband, you know that he has a hard time staying up past 9 pm!! However, he made it to about 10:30, but woke up at 11:45 to watch the ball drop and drink sparkling cider. My cheerleaders took 1st place at another competition. We were hoping that 2009 would be a much better year than 2008, however its sad to say, but the outlook for that is not very good. On Wednesday morning we received a phone call from my dad telling us that our Grandma D. had past away. Just like the last death that we had in the family this one was also a unexpected surprise. My grandma was doing well, still driving and going out with friends. She was a very loving grandma and we will miss her GREATLY. With all of the trials my family has faced, it makes me realize how blessed I am to know the plan of salvation and to know that there is life after death. While it is very sad my grandma has left us on this earth I find great joy in knowing that my grandma was able to see my grandpa after a long 40 year separation and that I will one day also see them again.

Joyce Lillian Miller Dumont Duffin

Joyce Lillian Miller Dumont Duffin 1930 ~ 2009 Joyce Lillian Miller Dumont Duffin passed peacefully on Jan. 28, 2009. Joyce was born February 28, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leonard L. and Lillian Downs Miller. She loved growing up in Bingham Canyon with her brother Ned. She graduated from Bingham High School in 1948 and was a devoted Miner all her days. One of her favorite sayings was "It's a great day to be a Miner!" She enjoyed serving on the alumni committee of Bingham High and was excited for this year's centennial celebrations. Joyce and S. Zane Dumont were high school sweethearts and married on February 26, 1949. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Zane passed away in 1969. Joyce and Zane lived in California, Lark, Midvale and South Jordan, Utah. They were blessed with four children, Rick (Shauna), JoLen (Paul) VanSleeuwen, Larry, Kelly (Connie). Her primary joy in her later years was her 15 grandchildren and 14 (soon to be 16) great-grandchildren. Joyce loved nothing more than spending time with them. She supported them in their many activities. Joyce married Earl P. Duffin in November 1972. Earl passed away in November 2005. Her marriage to Earl brought three step-sons; Skip, Jeff, and Mike (Karla), and a step-daughter; Christie and their children and grandchildren. She greatly enjoyed being a part of Earl's family. Joyce worked for many years as a secretary for several firms in the Salt Lake Valley. She was a competent and hard worker. Joyce was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society through the years. She loved working on genealogy and was an avid scrapbooker. Her move to Cornerstone several years ago was a blessing to her life and gave her the opportunity to serve and be served, and to bless and be blessed by the lives of those friends around her. Joyce is survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grand children; her beloved brother L. Ned Miller (Carlene), and Earl's brother and sisters (Maureen Green, Mary Broom, Norma Hagethorn, Dick Duffin). Preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, and two granddaughters. I know, I know it just keeps going.. that is why I should probably update my blog more than one time a year huh!! But I promise there were a lot of changes that also came with the month of January that you would like to know about!! For those of you that are wondering about Becky she is doing well and I would love to post one of her bald pictures, but I am not that sure she would appreciate that, but I do have to say that she is one of the cutest bald ladies that I have seen:) She is also very cute with her blonde or red wig! I will have to either get her to post some pics on her blog or take some and post it on mine! On the downside of all of that she was admitted to the hospital today. She has an infection and has a tempurature of 103. So they are making her stay at least tonight.
The great news is that Mark is no longer unemployed and we are soo so so happy about that!! There is also some sad news that comes with this and that is that we have moved from Utah County and are now living in the Northern part of the state! After applying for job clear back in October, then interviewing for it in December. He will officially be an employee on February 2nd! He will be working at ATK.. better known as Thiocal.. if that is how you spell it! ATK works with the government and builds rockets for NASA. Don't worry Mark won't be in the building process, he will be keeping track of the inventory that is owned by the government and by ATK. He is really excited to start. We are excited to be out of the busy city, but sad to be so far away from family and friends. If you are wondering what I am going to do about my job.. here it comes.. I will be living with my parents for a part of the week and when I don't have cheer I will be living with my husband in our little tiny town that we now live in. And when I say tiny I mean tiny. I know many of you think that Mark's hometown is small, but our new place is even smaller. They do not even deliver mail because there are not enough people that live there!:) We have to have a post office box ( just incase you were wondering if we got mail we do!!) We are really excited about all the new things that have been happening and we are so thankful to all the people that helped us move.. Especially you Ash.. you have no clue how much that helped.. You're the BEST! Oh also I am a college drop out twice, I decided to quit UVU so that I could move up back permenantly with my husband, after I take my cheer girls to Nationals! It made it so I could move up their one month earlier. But now I know it was a blessing in disguise, because I would not have been able to work, do school, have my grandma die, help my sister with her kids and move all at the same time I am just not that big of a superwomen!! But don't fret I am getting the ball rolling already and plan on attending Utah State in the Summer.. Utah State Utah State Great Great Great (that ones for you Hannah!) Thanks for reading about my life and the way I see it.. I will try to blog more frequently so you don't have to read a 80 page novel the next time you want to know what is going on with me and the family! I love you all and hope you are all doing well!! Peace, love,i'm outtie!! Oh and can you tell I love the Christmas present there are actually pics to the post lots of em'!!
